The state & Seminoles have not had much to say since winning their appeal via the brilliant judges for the U.S. Court of Appeals - District of Columbia Circuit
No Casinos, a Florida anti-gambling organization who are totally clueless, vow to continue fighting
But experts in law say their efforts will likely fall on deaf ears
No Casinos argues the expansion violates Amendment 3 of the Florida Constitution, which passed in 2018 and gives voters the exclusive right to authorize further casino gambling in Florida.
But it doesn't apply to tribal compacts, like the one in 2021 as they don’t fall under Amendment 3. The state can strike deals with the Seminole Tribe that involve expanding gambling in the state and voters don’t get a say.
No Casinos also believes that wagers accepted online are breaking law, clamming the bets aren't being taken on tribal land
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand that the servers are on Seminoles property, hence the wagers are actually being accepted there legally
Also, by fighting this, No Casinos and all other opponents to gambling expansion, are only hurting the state of Florida as the people will merely keel sending money to offshore books
